The Ultimate Gluten-Free Advent Calendar List

Counting down to Christmas with an advent calendar is a lovely tradition. So we have compiled the ultimate gluten-free advent calendar list to help you pick a safe option.

There are many ways to countdown to Christmas like non-food advent calendars that focus on a hobby, special interest, beauty products or pop culture interest. Not to mention there are several DIY options like refillable boxes, hanging advent calendars, bags, and hanging pocket advent calendars. However, if you want a pre-made food-themed advent calendar, then the ultimate gluten-free advent calendar list has you covered.

Why are we putting out our gluten-free advent calendar list in November? One you want them to get to you before or by December 1st. If you are ordering online that means factoring in delivery time. Trying to find these in person, may also take time and effort. Not to mention specialty products can be in high demand and sell out early- so the earlier you buy them, the better.

Keep in mind, that even with products on the “safe” list of our ultimate gluten-free chocolate list, if it involves a pretzel, crumbs, cookie, cake, or another item that is commonly made with wheat/gluten, do not buy/eat it, unless it is labelled gluten-free.

Previously, we shared the ultimate gluten-free chocolate list and the ultimate gluten-free candy list, which have a wider array of products. However, we have the gluten-free holiday chocolate list highlighting more seasonal items.

Use this list as a guideline; however, you should always read the label to ensure the product is gluten-free in your area. Manufacturing formulations can be different between counties and/or can change with special or holiday versions of products. Also, recipes and manufacturing practices can change, so it’s always a good idea to check the labels.

Remember when reading any food labels (chocolate or otherwise) you want to know the alternative names for gluten, and what “may contain” vs. “contains” means. You may even want to use a scanner app to help you decipher if a product is safe. Check out the other tactics and practices to avoid gluten in our Ultimate Gluten Free Guide for Beginners and 15 Steps for going gluten-free.

DISCLAIMER: Most of the chocolate on this list is manufactured in facilities, or on equipment that is also used to manufacture products which contain gluten. Please be sure to determine if it is safe for your own personal consumption. Also, products that are labelled gluten-free are clearly indicated on the list. Other products simply do not contain gluten in the ingredients but are not labelled gluten-free.

“Most of our products’ recipes have been developed without cereals containing gluten however, please ensure you check individual product information before consuming. We do not state any Divine products as gluten-free and some will carry a ‘may contain cereals containing gluten’ warning on the label. This is due to the fact cereals containing gluten are handled in the same factory where we produce our products, albeit we try to minimize the risk of cross-contamination, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee any Divine product is gluten-free.
Please always ensure you check the wrapper.”
