Having great go-to snacks are something many people who have to live a gluten-free lifestyle struggle to find. While many would assume that all popcorn is gluten-free (it is naturally), the added flavours and toppings may contain gluten. That is not the case with Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop Gluten-Free Sweet and Salty Kettle Corn. The name is a mouthful and so is the way you will eat this delicious, gluten-free popcorn – by the mouthful! But wait – it’s not only gluten-free. It’s also non-GMO, vegan, kosher and plain crunchtastic. It handily earned our GFF Seal of Approval as you’ll read in our Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop Gluten-Free Sweet And Salty Kettle Corn Review!
Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop Gluten-Free Sweet And Salty Kettle Corn Review
First off, the packaging…
Reading labels is a critical step when following a gluten-free diet as you have to confirm there are no hidden or alternate sources of gluten in the ingredients. The packaging for Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop Gluten-Free Sweet and Salty Kettle Corn clearly identifies the four ingredients used to make this product. While I couldn’t find out if they are made in a dedicated gluten-free environment, they are certified gluten-free.
Gluten-Free Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn Review Look And Mouth Feel – Scored 19/20
This snack is made up of large, light, and fluffy pieces of popcorn. There can be many unpopped kernels in the bottom of the bag but this is true of many varieties of ready-to-eat bagged popcorn. It is still worth mentioning as a heads-up so you are aware when eating.
Kettle corn is the perfect snack right out of the bag. The coating is crispy and gives you a delicious crunch, which gives way to the light and fluffy popcorn underneath. The texture is simply perfect for kettle corn. I would definitely purchase this popcorn again (and again) based on the texture.
Gluten-Free Sweet And Salty Kettle Corn Review: Taste – Scored 20/20
This popcorn is the perfect blend of sweet and salty. Some kettle corn brands tend to skew either sweet or salty, but this one balances both together, perfectly. There is absolutely no aftertaste when eating this popcorn either. It is simply delicious from start to finish!
Once you start eating it, it will be hard to stop and the best part is that you don’t need to feel guilty. This delicious kettle corn has a scrumptious crunchy shell that’s so enjoyable. I would (and do) consistently buy this popcorn. In fact, I tend to keep an extra bag in the house to ensure that it’s always on hand.
Gluten-Free Sweet And Salty Kettle Corn Review Misc. – 7/10
This popcorn is good value given that kettle popcorn tends to be more expensive than other flavours of popcorn. The bag is slightly smaller than some other kettle corn brands although it does come in various-sized bags. The best size and value is the one that is available at Costco. I would definitely recommend this brand of popcorn, as it can be enjoyed by those who are gluten-free, and those who are not.
Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop Gluten-Free Sweet And Salty Kettle Corn scored 46/50
