One of the staples you need to bake/cook gluten-free is a great gluten-free flour. However, not all gluten-free flours are created equal; as even flours from the same brand can be very different. To help you find the best flour for any job we’ve put together a comprehensive roundup of gluten-free flour reviews.
When stocking your gluten-free pantry ( or gluten-free baking pantry) you definitely need a multi-purpose gluten-free flour. If you are not a fan of pre-mixed flour you can always try your hand at mixing your own. You’ll find a great mix listed in our vegan gluten-free peanut butter cookie recipe. These ingredients can easily be purchased at your local grocery store or health food store.
A Comprehensive Roundup of Gluten-Free Flour Reviews
Bob’s Red Mill 1 to 1 Gluten-Free Flour: This is a fabulous all-purpose gluten-free flour, that works in most recipes.
Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free All-Purpose Baking Flour: This is not my favourite flour, it could work in some recipes.
Caputo Gluten-Free Flour: This Italian flour is perfect for making the best gluten-free pizza, and various pasta recipes (like ricotta gnocchi).
Le 5 Stagioni Gluten-Free Italian Produced Pizza Flour: Another Italian flour on the list that also makes amazing gluten-free pizza. With a crispy crust!
Robin Hood Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour Blend: This all-purpose flour works best for cooking (ie thickening sauces and breading things like chicken cutlets).
As you can see from our roundup of gluten-free flour reviews, different flours can be used for different purposes. Also, depending on what ingredients are used in the mix (like beans) it can really change the taste and usefulness of a flour.

Cup4cup or Jules gluten free flours are my two favorites.
Hi Vicki,
Thank you for reading and for the recommendations. I will definitely try Cup4Cup. Jules does not appear to be as available in Canada but I’m going to keep it on my radar to try.
Once I’ve tried and reviewed Cup4Cup, I’ll add it to this post.
Thank you again. I so appreciate your feedback.
Would you be able to compare and comment on GF Jules all purpose 1 to 1 flour please?
